Who is spotted Dog tutoring for?

I specialize in tutoring students in Kindergarten through sixth grade. I have 12 years of experience working with this age group. Orton Gillingham is for ALL students. Students with dyslexia or other disabilities can benefit tremendously from the systematic and multi-sensory approach.

Where is an ideal spot for tutoring?

An ideal spot for tutoring would be a semi-private area with minimal distractions. I am happy to tutor your child in your home or at the public library. If I am coming to your home, please set aside a place where we can work together.

How much does tutoring cost?

Tutoring sessions are $75/hour per child. If your child is tutored more frequency, discounts are available. Small group tutoring prices are available as well.

Where is Spotted dog tutoring located?

Spotted dog tutoring is located in the location that is most convenient for you. I offer in-home tutoring, virtual, or in a public space, such as the library. All in-person tutoring is offered within a 5 mile radius of the Wash Park neighborhood in Denver. I am happy to tutor any student virtually beyond this area.

Can you tutor a small group of learners?

I am happy to do small group tutoring when student needs are similar. Since each lesson is individually planned, pre-tutoring assessments with your child will determine if small group tutoring is the best choice based on their individual needs.

How frequently should my child be tutored?

The frequency of tutoring is very dependent on many factors, such as: on your child’s age, current reading skills and goals. I highly recommend at least two days a week during summer when students are not engaged in reading daily at school.
